Nicole Lesperance, who serves as the technology integration specialist and training coordinator for Regional School Unit 9, has been recognized with a state award for her contributions to education. The honor highlights her efforts to help teachers bring technology into their daily classroom instruction and to create more professional development opportunities for staff across the district.

Lesperance works directly with educators to show them how digital tools can support student learning. Her role involves training teachers, answering their questions, and finding practical ways to use technology that fit each subject and grade level. Colleagues say she makes complex tools feel approachable and always focuses on what will work best for students.

The award also points to her work expanding training sessions and workshops for teachers. By offering more chances to learn new skills, she has helped staff build confidence with technology that changed rapidly in recent years. Her efforts have supported classrooms across the district, not just a single school.

District leaders praised her dedication and the steady support she provides to teachers. They noted that her work behind the scenes has a direct effect on what students experience in class every day. Lesperance said she shares the recognition with the teachers and staff who take time to learn and try new approaches with their students.
